Welcome to the SJS Year 6 PYP Exhibition page. The aim of all IB programmes is to develop internationally minded people who, recognising their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.

The PYP Exhibition is an opportunity for all Year 6 students to demonstrate the culmination of their learning experience from throughout their time at primary school. It is an authentic process for students to explore, document and share their understanding of an issue or opportunity of personal significance. The Exhibition is a student-initiated, designed, and collaborative inquiry.

In 2023-24 our students will share their inquiries and Exhibition experience on Thursday 21st March 2024 to parents & Friday 22nd March 2024 to the rest of the school.

Welcome! We are the SJS PYPx Comms Team. We will be updating this page every week to keep you informed on our Exhibition journey. We hope you enjoy it!

    Friday 12th January

On Friday, we got super excited about starting the Exhibition. We were given new books specifically for our Exhibition and to document our learning journey. We started by tuning into our passions and interests. So far, we made a cover page with the unit’s Central Idea and Lines of Inquiry.

This week we created a mood board of all the different things we are passionate about and interested in. It was really fun to make and got us thinking about what we could focus on for the Exhibition. We also answered different questions in our exhibition learning journey sketchbook to get us thinking more deeply about our areas of interest.

How to help us at home

Can you remember what we were interested in when we were really little? We’d like to know! It will probably be nostalgic too.

You could also tell us about how our interests evolved over time and how we grew in/out of our hobbies.
